How LLC co-ownership works

We’ve restructured and simplified the decades-old-fashioned practice of DIY co-ownership. casaco
acquires modernized second homes and creates an LLC that has a total of 8 ownership interests or shares.
Owners or buyers have the opportunity to acquire one or more shares of the LLC with transactions assisted
by casaco. casaco takes over the role as a program manager and oversees scheduling, maintenance and
ensures that your second home is in perfect working condition, deep-cleaned, and sanitized.

How does Liability work?

Maintenance cost is passed directly through to the owner, and they make payments for it.

Selling your share?

Acquire your share for 12 months and then you can sell it freely like any other real estate that you own.

DO I HAVE OWNERSHIP OF THE HOME?

Yes. Owning a Casaco home is owning the physical real estate. You purchase a share in a property-specific LLC. The property is artfully designed and professionally managed specifically for co-ownership.

HOW DO I SCHEDULE TIME TO USE THE HOME?

You choose when you want to stay in your home using the Casaco app. It is simple to use and equitable for owners, based on the number of shares you own. The system supports two types of stays: general and short-notice. General stays are scheduled 8 days to 24 months in advance, and each owner has access to a general stay that falls on a special date (e.g., federal holidays and popular global events). Short-notice stays are booked 2 to 7 days in advance of arrival. See additional scheduling FAQs for more details.

WHAT IF I WANT TO SELL MY OWNERSHIP OF THE HOME?

You can sell at any time after your first 12 months of ownership, at a price of your choosing. We have an active network of interested buyers, and the home will also be listed on Casaco and promoted across our marketing channels.

WHAT DOWN PAYMENT IS REQUIRED TO PURCHASE A SHARE OF A SECOND HOME?

Buyers can finance up to 70% of their purchases. A down payment of 30% is required.

CAN I FINANCE MY SECOND HOME PURCHASE?

Yes. We offer integrated financing for our buyers. You may also use other sources of capital such as home equity financing or cash. Our finance specialists are available to explain all options in detail to find the best path for you.

HOW ARE PROSPECTIVE OWNERS EVALUATED?

We vet all owners, who agree to a common-sense owner code of conduct. The home will be reserved for the exclusive use of owners and their guests.
